On 1st April 2022, a new Vaccinated Travel Framework came into place in Singapore which coincided with the country’s move to open its borders to all fully vaccinated travellers. While this saw a surge in bookings for outbound travel, it also meant that the Lion City would face an influx of arrivals as tourists got the chance to visit this popular destination again. Apart from being able to enjoy all the best experiences of the city, such fully vaccinated travellers can also find safe accommodation at SG Clean certified 5-star hotels in Singapore; these include properties such as Grand Park City Hall in the Civic District ideal for business and leisure alike.
The new framework replaced the previous Vaccinated Travel Lanes (VTL) that were in place and offer quarantine-free stays for those fully vaccinated; such tourists are required to only submit to a pre-departure test within two days before they head back home. As destinations begin to open around the world, more travellers will no doubt head to Singapore once more and give the local tourism industry a further boost as it looks to get back on track.
