Smarter roads, smoother rides — navigating the future of travel in Singapore
In a major step toward easing urban congestion, Singapore has revised its Electronic Road Pricing (ERP) charges, effective from June 3, 2025. Announced by the Land Transport Authority (LTA), the updated tolls impact key expressways such as the CTE, PIE, and AYE, with peak-hour increases ranging from $0.50 to $1.00. These changes are part of Singapore’s adaptive pricing model, using real-time traffic data to influence commuter behaviour and support the Smart Mobility 2030 vision.
Commuters and businesses operating in high-traffic zones are advised to review new gantry rates and consider alternative travel methods. Ride-hailing services and logistics firms may also adjust pricing or delivery schedules to offset increased road charges.
Travellers planning city stays can benefit from accommodations like V Hotel Bencoolen, a conveniently located hotel near Bugis Singapore, offering easy access to MRT lines and business districts—ideal for those navigating the evolving transport landscape with ease and flexibility.
