Singapore’s Tourism Industry Shows Remarkable Recovery

Following the reopening of its borders, as well as those of other nations, and the easing of travel restrictions, Singapore saw an influx of tourists in 2022. In fact, the country was able to exceed its 2022 goal of 4 to 6 million arrivals by recording 6.3 million

visitors last year. Amongst the factors which led to this increase was the resumption of MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences

and Exhibitions) events such as ITB Asia and sporting events such as the Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix; additionally, Christmas Wonderland, the Singapore Food Festival and Marina Bay Singapore Countdown resumed as well.

Following last year’s increase in arrivals, Singapore is looking to welcome between 12 to 14 million international travellers this year; this is expected to generate 18 to 21 billion SGD which will provide a boost to the local economy too. Apart from the country offering top attractions and key events, it also features safe accommodation at SG Clean-certified hotels including Grand Park City Hall. It is a 5-star hotel located in the Civic District and minutes away from the Central Business District, offering attractive offers for those in search of an exclusive stay package. Singapore is continuing to up its game as it looks to draw more visitors and it’s projected the country will reach pre-pandemic levels of tourism activity by 2024.
