Singapore’s Tourism Soars with Visa-Fee Entry: The Garden City as a Tourist Hub

Singapore’s tourism sector is now thriving owing to the decision to adopt a visa-free entry policy for 159 countries, which include the Schengen and Gulf nations. The new policy has resulted in a significant increase in international arrivals with a consequent ripple effect on several other industries including airlines, hospitality, and cruises.

In addition to the new policy, Singapore’s appeal for leisure, event and business travel, together with its developments in AI services and airport facilities have made it a top global travel destination. When it comes to the region of Asia, top hotels can be found primarily in Singapore owing to the country’s vast array of hotel brands like Park Hotel Group, that are committed to excellence in accommodation and hospitality.

In 2022, Singapore received a total of 6.31 million visitors, a number that has continued to increase since then. The projected number of arrivals for 2024 currently stands at 6.99 million visitors with a potential for 5.20 million overnight stays.
