Sri Lanka in Coveted Condé Nast Traveller List – Ranked Amongst the World’s Top Nations

In the Readers’ Choice Awards 2021 by Condé Nast Traveller, Sri Lanka garnered fifth place in the coveted category of “Top 20 Countries in the World”. The list, published on 5th October 2021, ranked nations according to votes of readers of Condé Nast Traveller showcasing which destinations they most desired to travel to. Despite the global pandemic, Sri Lanka continues to be a popular choice and was placed only behind Morocco, Japan, New Zealand and Portugal respectively.

This island nation has been getting tourism back on track and from 1st October 2021, it offered quarantine free entry to all fully vaccinated travellers further increasing its appeal. Those who have completed the recommended doses of a COVID-19 vaccination need to additionally show a negative result of a COVID-19 PCR test conducted within 72 hours of embarkation. Such travellers can enjoy the best the island has to offer including at a coastal Tangalle resort; ‘Safe and Secure’ certified properties here like Anantara Peace Haven Tangalle Resort follow stringent health and hygiene protocols too.
