However, 21st January 2021 saw the re-opening of the country for international tourism, yet under strict safety, supervision to avoid the risks of the global pandemic.
Tissamaharama hotels the likes of Kithala Resort have been accepting domestic travelers since the government decided to release internal travel restrictions, and these properties will soon be available for international tourists if things progress well- as expected. According to the statistics, the tourism industry of Sri Lanka will recover by 2022, and until such time, looking for ways to develop a new era in SL tourism is a must-happen.
