One of Sri Lanka’s main industries, tourism offers visitors a chance to truly discover the island’s rich cultural and natural heritage along with its own lively cosmopolitan lifestyle.

According to officials, Sri Lanka targets 450,000 arrivals from India this year. The recently concluded travel and tourism event, South Asia’s Travel and Tourism Exchange 2018 was hosted in New Delhi featuring over 50 countries and over 1,000 exhibitors. Focusing on promoting MICE segments, destination wedding, religious tourism and film tourism, SLTPB gave more prominence to pilgrimage tourism which is quite popular among Indian devotees and tourists. With the increasing number of tourists each year, hotel chains such as VC Villas & Resorts offers accommodation from the hill country to coastal resorts in Sri Lanka, so you can get the best out of this country during your visit.
