Sri Lanka Tourism Authority has recognized the country as a perfect destination for Digital Nomads. The officials have declared this based on some research data that had samples representing all corners of the world. Working remotely is now a global trend, and many companies have already let their employees work from home to stay away from the pandemic risks as well. For Digital Nomads, this means ‘working from anywhere in the world’ and they have listed Sri Lanka as a preferred destination based on several factors such as low living costs, scenic beauty, opportunities for adventures, and the average temperature.
According to the experts, once this trend is established, resorts in Sri Lanka should have strong internet connections to allow people to carry out their work without any barriers. Hotel chains such as Theme Resorts & Spa constantly work to enhance the internet convenience in them facilitating better connection for their guests.
