Sri Lanka opened its doors to over 28,000 International tourists during the first 19 days of July elevating the total number of tourist arrivals in the country to 440,110. Despite the ongoing economic and political turmoil that the country is facing, the data released by the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority depict a slow but consistent growth in the influx of tourists to Sri Lanka.
An analysis of the data gathered also indicates India to be the biggest source market for the surging tourist arrivals with the United Kingdom and Russian Federation ranking closely behind. Tourists arriving in this tropical paradise can look forward to safe accommodation and enjoy the island’s golden sandy beaches at a Tangalle resort; this includes luxurious and certified properties like Anantara Peace Haven Tangalle Resort which promises world-class comfort and panoramic ocean vistas.
