Sri Lanka is tapping into new markets for tourism and this year, the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Iran organised a tourism promotion event in Tehran. Guests who attended the event included travel agents, journalists, airline representatives, travel consultants and bloggers.
Vipulatheja Wishwanath Aponsu, the Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Iran mentioned that tourists from Iran can help the country with strengthening bilateral relations and build people-to-people connections.
