Sri Lankan Tourism Focuses on Influencer Marketing: In the Aftermath of Nas Daily Success

Building on the success of social media influencer Nas Daily’s viral video, the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau (SLTPB) is implementing a targeted influencer marketing strategy. This initiative, which commenced on February 14th, aims to attract tourists through partnerships with 30 European wellness influencers and renowned Canadian culinary influencer Luke Martin.

Inspired by the 25 million viewers reached by Nas Daily’s content, the SLTPB seeks to leverage the influence of these individuals to showcase Sri Lanka’s diverse offerings in the wellness, culinary, and adventure sectors. This strategic approach aligns with the influx of European tourists, particularly from Poland and the Netherlands, who are known for extended stays and significant contributions to the Sri Lankan economy. Resorts in Sri Lanka the likes of Aitken Spence Hotels will benefit greatly from these initiatives, with influencer marketing giving them avenues into a whole new market.
