Thailand hopes to have bullet trains by 2023

After years of debate and delay, it’s confirmed – bullet trains are coming to Thailand! Currently, there is one project that is under construction with another one approved and others being considered. This step will make travelling in tourism much easier, especially to get to their base such as a riverside hotel in Bangkok, the likes of Avani Riverside Bangkok Hotel.

These sleek trains will be travelling around the country at 155 mph within the next five years. Both the projects that are currently undergoing will employ Chinese HSR Technology. The projects are considered a part of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), a plan that hopes to connect China to the rest of Asia.
