Thailand, as cleverly forecasted was able to reach its tourist arrival target of 10 million in December 2022. As hotels like Gardina Asoke most likely filled up with tourists who were thrilled to visit the many attractions in Bangkok, the country gradually reached its victorious number. The country’s achievement was celebrated on a grand scale at the Suvarnabhumi Airport and was graced by the presence of Thai Prime Minister, General Prayut Chan-o-cha.

At this momentous event, he extended a warm welcome to the tourists. H.E. Mr Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, Minister of Tourism and Sports was also among the distinguished guests at the event, sharing his thoughts on this milestone achievement. He mentioned that this achievement was a joint effort of all stakeholders from the public and private sectors, restoring the country’s tourism industry, following the negative impacts it faced due to COVID-19.
