Thailand restarted its Test and Go Programme this month offering fully vaccinated tourists a chance to enjoy quarantine-free holidays. The programme which began in 2021 was put on hold last December due to the nation’s rising Omicron variant cases. Re-launched on 1st February 2022, the Test and Go Programme is giving travellers a chance to enjoy the best of Thailand once more; furthermore, tourists can also enjoy safe stays be it at beach resorts in Pattaya including the SHA Extra+ certified Avani Pattaya Resort or properties in Phuket and Ko Samui that come under the Sandbox Programme.
With the resumption of the programme, the guidelines were updated as well. Travellers must complete the Thailand Pass registration process and have bookings on day one and day five at an SHA Extra+, AHQ, OQ or AQ certified hotel / resort. Additionally, they must book a COVID-19 RT-PCR test for day one and day five and have medical insurance with at least USD 50,000 coverage. Since requirements are subject to change, tourists should always check for the latest updates before travelling.
