Thailand Tourist Visa Extension – Extended stays allowed!

Due to the COVID 19 pandemic, many foreigners got stuck in Thailand without a way to get back to their native countries. Many of them chose to stay at a Bangkok city hotel the likes of Chatrium Hotel Riverside Bangkok or a similar property until they got a chance to fly back to their motherlands. The Thai Government issued a public notice that those foreigners could stay in Thailand until September if they get the ‘Covid Visa Extension’ arranged.

Many foreigners who had no return flights available to go back to their countries and those who had presented a letter from their respective embassies requesting temporary stay were given this extended visa facility. The government is yet to announce what the procedure will be after September 2021. Many experts predict that things will get back to normal soon in Thailand similar to most other countries around the world.
