Thailand Unveils Landmark as Bangkok Prepares for 2026 IMF–World Bank Meetings

Positioning Bangkok at the forefront of global finance and future-ready innovation

Thailand has taken a major step towards hosting the 2026 IMF–World Bank Group Annual Meetings with the launch of a symbolic installation at Benjakitti Park. Located near the Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre, the site will welcome thousands of global delegates expected to arrive in October.

Government leaders highlighted that preparations are centred on strengthening international financial cooperation, advancing digital finance, and addressing climate-related risks. Authorities are also introducing frameworks to improve cybersecurity, reduce digital fraud, and expand financial inclusion through technology.

Bangkok is positioning itself as a leading destination for high-level events, supported by strong infrastructure, hospitality, and venues such as Chatrium Grand Bangkok, a notable and preferred conference hotel in Bangkok.

With participation from global financial leaders confirmed, the event is expected to boost tourism, attract future conferences, and reinforce Thailand’s role in shaping resilient, forward-looking economies.
