Unlock Thailand’s hidden gems with a journey beyond the usual
Thailand is set to offer free domestic flights to 200,000 international visitors over the coming three months, providing a fresh incentive to explore beyond Bangkok, Phuket, and Chiang Mai. The initiative, called ‘Buy International, Free Thailand Domestic Flights’, will allow eligible travellers to claim a complimentary round-trip flight within the country when booking international flights through participating airlines and agencies.
The scheme, pending cabinet approval, is expected to run from September to November, with subsidies covering up to THB 3,500 per round-trip ticket, including 20kg of checked baggage. Six carriers, including Thai Airways, Thai AirAsia, and Bangkok Airways, are already participating.
This promotion encourages travellers to uncover lesser-known destinations rich in culture, culinary delights, and adventure. Visitors staying at iconic accommodations such as Modena by Fraser can combine luxury with unique things to do in Bangkok, creating a travel experience that blends comfort and exploration.
