Thailand is enhancing its visa policies, with visa exemptions now extended to nationals of 93 countries, up from 57, allowing stays of up to 60 days, extendable by 30 days. The Visa on Arrival (VOA) list has also expanded to 31 countries, offering 15-day stays for tourism.
Thailand has introduced a new Destination Thailand Visa (DTV) catering to remote workers, digital nomads, and event participants. This visa allows for a five-year stay in the country for a fee of 10,000 Baht. Furthermore, foreign students can now take advantage of the Student Visa (Non-Immigrant ED Plus), which grants them the opportunity to stay an additional year after graduation, with prospects for employment. These updates are expected to have a positive impact on establishments like the Avani Khon Kaen Hotel and Convention Centre, a top choice among hotels in Khon Kaen, by drawing in more international visitors.
