The international travel restrictions of the Maldives that were imposed due to the COVID-19 outbreak were lifted in July 2020 and this allowed foreign travellers to come to the country to spend their holidays. However, the opening of hotels and resorts happened in several stages, and there are more yet to be opened.
The Maldives Marketing and PR Corporation (MMPRC) has clearly stated that although the country welcomes back international travellers, every player will have to fulfill their responsibility of adhering to health and safety guidelines throughout their operations. Every Maldives water villa at resorts the likes of Anantara Kihavah Maldives Villas will also follow all the protective measures here, thinking about the safety of their guests, employees, and the local community.
