The Maldives Participates at EMITT 2024 – Country Looks to Attract Tourists from Turkey

The breathtaking beauty of the Maldives captivated audiences at the recent East Mediterranean International Tourism and Travel Exhibition (EMITT) 2024, in Istanbul, Turkey. One of the region’s largest travel trade shows, it was held from 6th to 9th February 2024; it gave the Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) along with a delegation from 12 companies the perfect platform to promote the country as a preferred holiday destination.

Apart from drawing more travellers from the East Mediterranean region, the event also gave the MMPRC a chance to focus attention on attracting visitors from Turkey which is emerging as a key tourism source market. Its participation in this event aligns with strategies to target source markets and contribute to increased arrivals. Tourists the world over continue to flock to this enchanting tropical destination where they can look forward to staying at a private resort island. Maldives getaways where one can enjoy such experiences include the likes of Embudu Village where plenty of fun in the sun, sand and surf awaits.
