Expo 2020 (which is also known as the World Expo) commenced in October 2021. This is held in Dubai, UAE, and will go on till the 31st of March 2022. The Ministry of Economic Development, Ministry of Tourism, and Visit Maldives participated in this global event, and they will engage in various activities throughout these 6 months.
The event has a participation of over 192 countries this time, and it is predicted that around 25 million visitors will most likely gather to witness this event in Dubai. “Connecting Minds, Creating the Future” is the theme for this year’s event and Visit Maldives will be promoting Maldives villas at properties the likes of VARU by Atmosphere to the tourist market there, while also promoting the Maldives as a safe destination to travel to even during the pandemic.
