The Smart Elephants from Anantara Golden Triangle Elephant Camp – An Impressive Discovery about the Gentle Giants

The British online newspaper Independent recently reported that intelligence tests carried out on elephants have allowed us to understand that they have profound mental capabilities. The scientists have concluded this upon analysing the results of a test of intelligence. Twelve female elephants who are at Anantara Golden Triangle Elephant Camp & Resort took part in these tests. Those planning on visiting this premier elephant camp in Thailand can also enjoy elephant rides and unforgettable destination experiences. The success rate of the elephants following the commands of their handlers was rated at 87 percent during the tests. The tests also revealed the ability of the elephants of recognizing themselves individually from the other objects in the environment thus proving their level of self-understanding.
