Tokyo Deemed Most Walkable City in Asia: A Haven for On-Foot Adventures

A list of the world’s most walkable cities released in April by Compare the Market has listed Tokyo as the most walkable city in Asia. Tokyo ranked in 6th place as the only Asian city in the top 10, making it the best-ranked Asian city.

The list was released based on an analysis of 53 locations across the globe, considering factors like the number of walking trails, bike trail distances, the safety score for each city, the number of car-free places, the cost of public transit and more.

Japan’s capital city has certainly earned its ranking, as it features several parks, walkways, restaurant-lined streets as well as historic sites. Additionally, there are several Tokyo suites in the heart of the city, like the Cerulean Tower Tokyu Hotel that prompt tourists to walk around due to their proximity to various sites and attractions.
