Barbie, empowering girls and with the slogan “You can be anything” has finally reached her 60th Anniversary this year! In commemoration of this, Barbie has partnered with Tourism Malaysia to celebrate the success of their multi-year campaign! Those travelling in Malaysia were asked to bring along they barbie dolls and snap a picture with the doll in a destination with the tagline #BarbieCutiCutiMalaysia.
In addition, the KL Tower was lit up in pink till the 31st of March, not only in Malaysia, but icons in other parts of Southeast Asia such as the Singapore Flyer too were lit up in pink. For those travelling with kids (specifically little girls) would be able to purchase dolls from the special range designed to encourage interests in fashion, culinary arts, entrepreneurship and so on. Many a 5-star hotel in Kuala Lumpur the likes of Berjaya Times Square Hotel were options for travellers’ lodging.
