Tourism Malaysia Expands Global Reach with Successful Marketing Efforts

In a bid to boost its worldwide presence, Tourism Malaysia recently concluded a series of productive meetings in Siem Reap and Phnom Penh. These gatherings were enhanced with interactive business-to-business (B2B) conferences and engaging luncheons, all geared towards creating potential partnerships between Malaysian tourism industry professionals and their Cambodian counterparts.

Taking place from August 7th to August 12th, 2023, the event paved the way for meetings between 80 Cambodian travel representatives, with 35 Cambodian travel representatives from the Siem Reap region and media representatives from Phnom Penh City. They collaborated with 14 travel trade partners from Malaysia, comprising resorts, travel associates, hotels, and tourism product vendors.

Ms. Zalina Ahmad, Deputy Director of the International Promotions segment at Tourism Malaysia, led the Malaysian delegation. Notable attendees included representatives from well-known entities such as Lanmei Airlines Cambodia, Malaysia Airlines, and AirAsia, among others. These successful marketing efforts underscore the commitment of Tourism Malaysia to broaden its global outreach. These developments will make a positive impact on resorts and hotels in Kuala Lumpur City Centre and beyond, including affordable properties such as Travelodge City Centre.
