Tunisia Sees Modest Tourism Growth Despite Challenges – A Glimmer of Recovery

Tunisia’s tourism sector has shown signs of recovery, with revenues reaching approximately 1.9 billion Tunisian dinars (around $678 million) in the first ten months of 2021. The country welcomed 1.94 million tourists, marking a 7.2% increase in arrivals and a 6% rise in revenue compared to previous periods.

While current figures are below the record highs of 9.5 million tourists and 5 billion dinars ($1.8 billion) in 2019, this positive trend highlights the sector’s resilience and growing appeal. As Tunisia’s tourism sector continues to rebound, upscale hotels like The Residence Tunis are well-positioned to benefit from the gradual increase in visitor numbers.

Visitors can look forward to engaging in exciting events in Tunis and enjoying memorable stays at affordable as well as luxurious accommodations while enhancing their travel experience.
