One of the leading names when it comes to online video channels and travel related videos, UNILAD Adventure recently listed Sri Lanka as the best destination to visit in 2019. The video posted on its site mentioned its top five destinations from fifth to first place in the following order; Singapore, Kyrgyzstan, Peru, Japan and Sri Lanka. Amongst the elements highlighted on the Sri Lanka segment were the country’s lush hill country, dolphin watching excursions, wildlife safaris, heritage sites like Sigiriya and idyllic coastlines.
The island’s beaches, especially on the south coast, have become a firm favourite amongst travellers; they have the option of staying at Galle hotels including properties like The Fortress Resort & Spa from which they can explore these pristine shorelines. This is yet another noteworthy achievement for Sri Lanka which was also named by Lonely Planet as the top country to travel to in 2019.
