The Uva Expo 2016 Badulla Trade exhibition and carnival came to a successful conclusion on the 01st of January. The three-day event took place at the Uva Provincial Council Library complex and Football Grounds, Badulla, and provided a platform for local and foreign Trade partners alike, to promote Trade and Tourism opportunities in the area by portraying its natural beauty and rich heritage. The town of Bandarawela in Badulla is a regular destination for travellers escaping the heat of Colombo – with several hotels in Bandarawela, such as the beautifully restored, colonial Bandarawela Hotel, gaining popularity. The event gave investors the opportunity to discuss developments in the industry and also projects the province as a tourist destination. The event was organised by West Ventures Lanka (Pvt) Ltd and supported by the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority.
