Singapore has established vaccinated travel lanes with countries such as Maldives, Thailand, Fiji, Cambodia, Sri Lanka, and Turkey. From the 16th of December 2021, travellers from these countries could arrive in Singapore without quarantine. Changi Airport authorities have said that before the COVID-19 pandemic hit, 60% of arrivals were made of travellers from these countries.
The Maldives, Sri Lanka, Cambodia, and Thailand opened quarantine free international travel for vaccinated people earlier in the year; and the CAAS noted that these were some of the most popular vacation destinations for Singaporeans. Their plan is to connect with larger activation hubs; hotels and resorts in these countries such as the Hard Rock Hotel Maldives have implemented systems such as a flexible cancellation policy to accommodate the influx of guests while maintaining safety. If you’re wondering what activities to partake in during your vacation, you will find fun and safe things to do on their Emboodhoo Lagoon Area Guide.
