Virgin Atlantic Airlines is set to begin flights to the Maldives in 2023, providing travellers with a new, direct route to this tropical paradise; this was highlighted on the Avas Online news website on 22nd January this year which further revealed that the flights are scheduled to be launched in October. They will provide travellers from the UK in particular a convenient link between London Heathrow Airport and Velana International Airport in the Maldives. Luxury resort options on private islands such as Huvafen Fushi Maldives continue to be a popular choice for tourists and such flights will make it easier than ever to enjoy holidays here.
While these flights are yet to begin, tickets have been on sale since November 2022, giving travellers a chance to already plan their winter getaway for 2023. This latest addition to Virgin Atlantic’s route network comes as the airline continues to expand its reach, providing passengers with more choice and flexibility when it comes to heading to some of the world’s most popular destinations.
