“Visit Thailand Year 2022” Campaign Launched – Optimistic Outlook for Tourism

At last year’s World Travel Market in London (1st – 3rd November 2021), the Tourism Authority of Thailand launched a new campaign titled, “Visit Thailand Year 2022”. This followed the reopening of the nation’s borders on 1st November 2021 with quarantine-free entry on offer for fully vaccinated travellers; it’s hoped that such campaigns will help to increase arrivals this year and, in turn, aid to boost the Thai tourism industry.

The “Visit Thailand Year 2022” campaign which was also approved by the Thai cabinet in November last year, initially focused on four destinations; they were Phuket, Chiang Mai, Ayutthaya and Nakhon Ratchasima, while the Middle East and India were amongst the main regional demographic markets targeted. Apart from the localities highlighted in the new campaign, the country has other key places that travellers can explore while at a SHA+ certified hotel; Koh Phangan is one such island destination where properties like Anantara Rasananda Koh Phangan Villas offer safe stays too.
