The five day tour was sponsored byWalkers Tours Sri Lanka and begun with a visit to the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage followed by a tour of the hill capital Kandy and its famed Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic. Amongst the other highlights of their tour were a visit to the Aluvihare Temple, embarking on the Hiriwaduna Trek where they got to experience local village life, heading to the Sigiriya Rock Fortress and exploring the ancient kingdom of Polonnaruwa.
