The Maldives revoked its Public Health Emergency announcement for the COVID-19 Pandemic on the 13th of March 2022 and has been easing restrictions for tourists since then. Therefore, tourists arriving at a Maldives Overwater Villa or a resort, are not required to undergo a PCR or antigen test before arrival. However, travellers except for tourists and Maldivians visiting hotels like OZEN LIFE MAADHOO are required to go through a PCR test 3-5 days post-arrival.
If any passenger displays symptoms of COVID-19, they will be required to undergo an antigen test. While the travel quarantine requirement is no longer required, the mask regulation still persists in places such as hospitals and in outbreak areas, indoor events that become crowded, transport facilities etc.
