Winter Season Flights from Sigiriya & Kandy to the South Coast Launched by Cinnamon Air

Travel to Sri Lanka’s most beloved destinations just got much easier thanks to Cinnamon Air which recently commenced flights connecting the South Coast to Sigiriya in the Cultural Triangle and Kandy, the Hill Capital. The two new daily flights were launched on 1st November 2024 to cater to the demand of the peak winter holiday season and will continue up to 30th April 2025. They offer connections from these destinations to Hambantota and Koggala along the island’s southern shores offering beachside bliss and gateways to popular coastal cities like Tangalle, Mirissa and Galle.

An ideal way to explore Sri Lanka, domestic flights like these not only offer mesmerising aerial views but also cut down on transport time significantly. For example, travel by air to the South Coast from Sigiriya and Kandy takes only around 40 to 50 minutes instead of driving there which will take approximately 6 to 7 hours. From the rich history of the Cultural Triangle and the misty mountains of the Hill Country to the sun-kissed sands of the south, travellers can now easily experience the best of the island with unforgettable flights.
