Making resorts and hotels truly stand out, swimming pools come in all forms, shapes and sizes. Offering travellers a chance to discover something truly unique, TripAdvisor has come up with a list of the 14 most outrageous hotel pools in the world. Found in a wide range of countries these pools each provide something special for travellers. Amongst the list is the Maldives island hotel known as Velasaru Maldives featuring an infinity pool placed right on the oceanfront sloping towards the waters of the Indian Ocean.
The list included a wide range of other distinctive pools and destinations as well; a 25 metre glass bottom pool on the 4th floor of a hotel in Dubai, an 18 metre indoor infinity pool on the 41st floor set amidst a stunning backdrop of Shanghai, a heated outdoor pool against the vistas of the snowy Alps and a floating pool on the surface of Italy’s Lake Como.
