Following the reopening of its borders, Zambia is providing visitors with relatively hassle-free entry and a chance to enjoy the nation’s many attractions once more. As per the protocols that came into effect on 28th March 2022, fully vaccinated travellers are exempt from showing proof of a pre-departure COVID-19 test on arrival; they do, however, need to show a valid record of their full vaccination. On the other hand, arriving tourists who are not fully vaccinated must present a negative result of a COVID-19 PCR test taken within 72 hours before departing to Zambia; children under 12 years are exempt from this requirement.
Additionally, the country is doing its best to also draw more visitors as was highlighted on the ZNBC (Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation) website on 22nd July 2022; according to its report, the Zambia Tourism Agency is working in collaboration with the private and public sectors to aggressively market the country to increase the number of tourist arrivals. Those who visit have much to experience as well including at the iconic Victoria Falls close to Avani Victoria Falls Resort; travellers based at such a hotel in Victoria Falls can also explore the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park and the town of Livingstone both popular local attractions.
