1 in 3 international travellers visiting Korea are aged under 30: Insights into Korea’s Inbound Tourism

Recent data from the Korea Tourism Organisation reveals a significant trend: one in every three foreign tourists visiting Korea is under 30. This surge in youth travel is attributed to the global craze for K-pop and other Korean cultural phenomena. In 2023, 35.6% of Korea’s 11.03 million inbound visitors were under 30, a substantial increase from 2013.
