$11 Billion Expected from Tourism in Thailand for Promising Second Half of the Year

As highlighted on the Bloomberg website on 30th August 2022, Thailand is expecting a surge of tourists in the second half of the year with projected earnings of $11 billion. According to the Thai government, an estimated 7.5 million international arrivals are expected during this period as the country looks to get its tourism industry back on track. As an added allure for travellers, Thailand is offering those from over 50 countries a chance to extend their holidays for up to 45 days between October 2022 and March 2023.

Amongst the destinations expected to see an increase in tourists are the capital, Bangkok, and the island of Koh Samui. The latter continues to be popular for beach getaways at properties like Avani Chaweng Samui Hotel & Beach Club. Those based at such a hotel in Samui can not only look forward to the best experiences but safe stays too with stringent health and hygiene measures adhered to.
