2018 FIVB Women’s World Volleyball Championship Qualification Tournaments – Maldives set to host this volleyball tournament

Maldives was confirmed as the host country for the FIVB Women’s World Volleyball Championship Qualification Tournament of AVC Central Zone that took place from 27th January to 29th January 2017. The Championship that is set to take place in 2018 will feature a number of countries like Bangladesh, Nepal, Maldives, India and Uzbekistan, who have already confirmed their participation for the three day tournament. The top team from the competition will be put through to the next round that is set to take place next year. Visitors and participants of the tournament can choose to stay at any of the Maldives luxury resorts during the course of the tournament, in properties such as PER AQUUM Huvafen Fushi Maldives. Originally, India was meant to host the tournament, but due to some internal issues, the competition venue was shifted to Male.
