Another horse racing season came to an end last month in Broome, Western Australia culminating in the Broome Cup. The most popular event in the region’s racing calendar, the Broome Cup was held on 18th August 2018. As per the norm, it was hosted at the Broome Turf Club located within easy reach of Cable Beach hotels in the area such as Oaks Cable Beach Sanctuary. This grand race day was preceded by what is known as Ladies Day held on 14th August.
Drawing local, out of state and foreign horse racing enthusiasts, Broome Cup Day showcased some of the best horses, jockeys and trainers all competing for the grand prize. Apart from the racing itself, the event also featured its customary entertainment with everything from high fashion to live music performances that offered a fun day out for the entire family.
