2024 Journey Times For Sydney’s Metro – Updated In August 

The Sydney Metro City & Southwest line, which opened its first phase between Chatswood and Sydenham on August 19, 2024, released updated journey times in late July. With increased train capacity, allowing for four trains at a time, travel times have significantly improved.

Commuters can now expect faster and more efficient journeys between stations on the line. Proposed future routes include an extension from Chatswood to Gadigal, beside the Sydney Harbour, which is estimated to take approximately 13 minutes. Hotels near ICC Sydney will greatly benefit from the new route, including 4-star properties like PARKROYAL Darling Harbour Sydney, located less than 10 minutes from the current Gadigal Station.
