33 Million Foreign Tourists Predicted to Visit Thailand in 2016 – The Tourist Boom Continues

According to estimates recently put out by the Tourism Council of Thailand (TCT), 2016 could see a little over 33 million tourists from abroad visiting Thailand. This is an increase of around 13% from the number of tourists who arrived in 2015. Parallel to this forecasted increase is the expected income from the tourism industry which is projected at 1.75 trillion baht, an almost 21% increase from 2015. According to these new estimates, the first quarter of 2016 is also expected to yield an increase in international arrivals with numbers expected to total almost 9 million.
