The 40th edition of the Bali Arts festival concluded on the 14th of July this year. The event commenced on the 16th of June and extended over a period of one-month attracting thousands of visitors. President Joko Widodo himself visited the event and flagged off by striking a gong and starting off a parade of art troupes to mark the opening. Throughout the duration of the event, the festival featured a number of colourful dance performances along with music and artistic expressions. This year’s festival carried the theme of “TejaDharmaningKoripan” which translates as fire. All the dances and decorations were vividly coloured in red and other colours of fire. Tourists who were stationed at Seminyak beach resorts the likes of Anantara Seminyak Bali Resort and many others too participated in the festival.
