One of the most important days in Qatar is the Independence Day. Conquering the battle Qatar was facing with the different tribes of Arabian Peninsula and the British, the country officially was able to gain its independence on the 3rd of September 1878. Research states that Qatar was able to achieve complete liberation from the British Empire in 1971. For many years since then to the year 2007 that day was distinguished as a National Holiday. After that December 18th was declared as the national day by Diwan Emiri. Doha Qatar has developed through the years to be a famous country for the many employment opportunities it offers. The country has been able to attract many tourists especially with the many Doha Hotels such as the Banana Island Resort Doha by Anantara and many other resorts and hotels.
