Acclaimed pan-African publication 54 Magazine concluded its annual celebration in mid-May on Bazaruto Island in Mozambique. The exclusive event, held from the 13th of May at Anantara Bazaruto Island Resort, served as a vibrant celebration of African creative expression, bringing together a diverse assembly of established and emerging talents in fashion, music, and visual arts.
Throughout the festivities, guests were treated to live performances, art installations, and workshops, meticulously curated against the idyllic backdrop of the waters that surround the Mozambique holiday resorts on the archipelago. This year’s “Greatest Party of All” solidified 54 Magazine’s commitment to fostering a platform for African creatives and their artistry, leaving a lasting impact on attendees and the cultural landscape at large.
The magazine, founded in 2022, is the self-proclaimed “mecca of African culture, art, tradition, and much more”, outlining its mission as a tribute to the continent’s 54 nations. The annual party of Africa’s top creatives within the representative industries has been likened to the “MET Gala for African culture”, with previous editions held in Livingstone, Zambia and Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
