In November 2020, the 8th Macao International Travel Expo (also known as MITE) was held at the Cotai Expo of the Venetian Macao. This was the first time that this event was held as a hybrid event where both online and offline platforms were available for both physical and virtual exhibitors.
Representatives from Macau five star hotels the likes of Hotel Okura Macau took part in the event, and in addition to them, many representatives from other travel sectors also contributed to the success of this event. The Expo which went on for 3 consecutive days attracted more than 22,000 spectators in total and according to the reports, there have been over 5,800 business matching sessions. Since this event had been organized with the support of many government and non-government institutions, it had attracted great media exposure as well.
