Ratchaporn Poolsawadee, president of the Koh Samui Tourism Promotion Association, anticipated a significant influx of Chinese tourists, with direct flights from Chengdu and Chongqing enhancing accessibility. This increase in visitors was a welcome boon for the island’s tourism sector, with hotels reporting high occupancy rates, especially along popular beaches like Chaweng and Lamai.

Amidst this bustling atmosphere, Anantara Bophut Koh Samui Resort, a well-known and luxurious resort in Samui, stood ready to cater to travellers seeking relaxation and adventure. As demand for travel to Koh Samui continued to rise, efforts were underway to enhance airport facilities and accommodate future passenger growth, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for visitors.
