Malaysia and Oman Strengthen Bilateral Ties – A Collaborative Effort to Boost Tourism

Malaysia and Oman, driven by their growing bilateral relations, are seeking to attract more visitors from each other. This mutually beneficial initiative was discussed during a visit by Malaysia’s Minister of Tourism, Arts, and Culture, Tiong King Sing, to Oman’s Minister of Heritage and Tourism, Salim bin Mohammed al Mahrouqi, in Muscat this August.

The two ministers attended a presentation highlighting the significant tourism potential between the nations and reviewed the existing Memorandum of Understanding focused on cooperation through an executive programme. Key areas discussed included increasing direct flights between Oman and Malaysia, enhancing bilateral business visits and expanding training programmes within the tourism sector.
