Oman Tourism Surge as 101 Countries Eligible Under Visa Free Travel Program: Check Now if Your Country Is Eligible

Oman is witnessing a surge in tourism due to its new visa-free travel program, which now includes 101 countries, making the nation more accessible to international travellers. In 2022, nearly three million international tourists visited Oman, with the majority coming from India, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, and Germany.

This influx is expected to continue as visitors are drawn to Oman’s rich cultural heritage, stunning landscapes, and vibrant cities. Oman, located on the southeastern coast of the Arabian Peninsula and bordered by Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Yemen, offers a diverse landscape from deserts to a beautiful coastline. As of 2023, Oman’s GDP is around $86 billion, primarily driven by oil and gas. However, under its Vision 2040 plan, Oman is focusing on economic diversification, with tourism playing a key role. The Anantara Al Jabal Al Akhdar Resort is a notable resort in Oman that will be crucial in the rise in tourism.
