New UAE Health Insurance Scheme For Tourist Visas – Digitised System To Be Implemented
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is set to implement a new, digitised health insurance scheme for all visitors on tourist visas. This move aims to ensure that all tourists have adequate health coverage during their stay in the country.
The new scheme will allow visitors to purchase health insurance alongside obtaining their tourist visa, through the online portal of the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP). The digital system, yet to be finalised will streamline the process, making it convenient for visitors to purchase insurance online. The insurance will provide coverage for medical expenses, including hospitalisation and emergency treatment, regardless of the duration of stay, for guests staying long-term at hotel suites in Dubai or enjoying short-term holiday getaways at resorts. For the benefit of both worlds, Oaks Liwa Heights offers holiday suites equipped with the essentials of apartment living.
